Exam FAQs
How do I know if I’m ready for my exam?
When you get to the end of a complete course e.g. CompTIA A+ Core 1, there’s an opportunity to take a Test Prep or practice exam.
The best indicator of whether you’re ready for your final exam is the score in the practice exam. We recommend achieving at least 80% in each of the module tests, as well as the Test Prep or practice exam before you take your exam.
Where are module tests?
In your training, at the end of each module, there is a short test or activity. We advise you to complete this before moving on to the next module. If you score at least 80%, you have a good grasp of the training. If you score lower, there is a little more work to do.
Any of the test scores from modules you completed over 2 months ago will need to be retaken prior to requesting your exam voucher.
I have scored 80% on all tests, what’s next?
If you’ve got to this point in your training, well done, you’re nearly there.
Once you’re scoring above 80% drop us a line to [email protected] . The team will do a quick health check to make sure you’ve finished all of your training, and that you can confidently expect to pass that exam the first time. They’ll guide you through the exam booking process – detailed below – so you have everything you need to gain your new certification.
If any of this sounds daunting, don’t worry, StudentCare™ will help with course guidance, revision tips, and words of wisdom, so don’t be afraid to get in touch for advice.
Our StudentCare™ team has helped thousands of people like you pass their exams.
Can I book an exam myself?
When you are confident in your scores in the modules and test prep, email [email protected]. We’ll provide you with a code or voucher that lets you pay for your exam.
You need to complete the application yourself because of the rules around identity verification for official certification exams.
Do Skills Benchmark Assessments count towards exam prep?
No. Skills Benchmarks are an excellent way to show an employer you understand a particular job-related skill, but they do not count toward assessing your exam readiness.
