Policy Objective:
This policy outlines a summary of our terms and conditions for students enrolled on a study programme with Learning People. It defines the rights and responsibilities of students, the services provided, and the financial obligations associated with the study programme.
Scope:
This policy applies to all students enrolled in any Learning People study programme, including IT, Coding, Cyber, Networking, Data Science and Project Management career pathways.
1 | Programme Content and Access
- Pathway Access: Students will have access to their study programme content, known as a career pathway, which includes self-directed e-learning. The access duration is 12, 18, or 24 months, dependent on the courses within the career pathway and communicated at enrolment.
- E-learning Platform: Students receive 24/7 access to the online e-learning platform, which requires internet connectivity. This platform supports flexible learning allowing students to study at a time and location convenient to them.
- Live Classrooms: Depending on the course, students may access live classrooms and pre-recorded classroom content. Registration is required for live classes.
- Additional Resources: The programme may offer access to subject matter experts, mentors, webinars, podcasts, and other educational content, contingent on the specific course.
- Student Support: Dedicated StudentCare services are provided to assist students in progressing towards their certification, including study planning, access to additional resources, and monitoring progress.
- Career Services: Students receive support to enhance their CVs and LinkedIn profiles, develop job search strategies, and prepare for interviews.
- Exam Eligibility: Exams relevant to the Pathway will be available once eligibility criteria are met.
- Service Termination: Access to programme services will cease upon the end of the enrolment period, except for Career Services.
2 | Course Swaps and Changes
- Discretionary Course Swaps: Learning People may, at their discretion, allow a student to swap courses within specific IT, Coding, and Project Management programmes. Only one swap is permitted during the study period, and it does not extend the original study period or alter existing finance agreements.
- Financial Impact: No changes to payment agreements will be made as a result of a course swap.
3 | Financial Obligations
- Enrolment Fees: Fees cover the entire cost of services, including exams, and are payable upon enrolment. Exam vouchers are issued only within the agreed study period.
- Cooling-off Period: A 14-day cooling-off period is provided, during which the student may cancel enrolment without penalty. After this period, students are liable for the full enrolment fees, even if they withdraw from the programme, unless specified under the Change of Circumstances Policy.
- Change of Circumstance: Specific conditions under which partial or full waiver of outstanding fees may be considered are detailed in our change of circumstance policy. No refunds will be made for fees already paid outside the cooling-off period.
- Finance Agreements: For students paying through instalment plans: Third-Party Agreements: Any financial difficulties or changes must be addressed directly with the third-party provider.
- Direct Agreements with Learning People: Adjustments to payment plans may be considered if the student can demonstrate a lack of income, subject to Learning People’s discretion. Evidence of engagement in studies is required for consideration.
